In the heat treatment sector, post-process quality control devices and equipments are as important as the equipments with which the processes are carried out.
Quality control measurements of materials heat treated in our company are carried out in our metal laboratory. Rockwell, brinell, microvickers hardness measurements, EHT hardness scanning, non-destructive material chemical composition analysis by spectral analyzer, microstructure analysis, crack analysis with magnetic particle can be carried out in our laboratory services in which state-of-the-art equipment is used.
The data obtained from the laboratory equipment are examined and analyzed by our expert laboratory staff and production engineers, thus providing the best service to our valuable customers.

First, the material whose microstructure control is to be carried out is cut, and a sample of appropriate scale is taken.
 The taken sample is mounted. Then the surface is polished, and as the last step, grain boundaries are made clear by acid etching.

Sample preparation is a sensitive process. The microstructure cannot be correctly observed on the sample not properly prepared.

Hardness Tests

In our company, all materials are subjected to hardness control at the end of heat treatment, and are shipped to customers after being controlled. The controls are made by qualified laboratory personnel with fully calibrated hardness testers.


​Rockwell Hardness Test

Rockwell C (HRC) measurement is generally performed in our company. A diamond cone bit with a peak angle of 120 ° is used in this method. Firstly, preload is applied to the material surface. After preloading, the Rockwell clock is reset. Then, the total load is applied. After the total load is stabilized, there is a waiting period up to 2 seconds. 12 Then the total load is lifted and the value is read directly from the Rockwell comparator or on the digital display while the preload pressure is on.

Brinel Hardeness Test

In Brinell hardness test, a ball made of steel or cemented carbide is pressed against the surface of the sampled material. The diameter of the ball indentation formed on the material surface is measured. The measured diameter is compared with the brinell hardness table to determine the brinell hardness of the material.

Vickers Hardness Test

A pyramidal diamond bit with a peak angle of 136 ° is used for the Vickers hardness test. The diamond bit applies a certain load to the material surface. Average length of the diagonal created by the diamond bit on the material surface is measured. The measured value is compared with the vickers hardness table to determine the vickers hardness of the material.

Microstructure Analyses


In order to make the microstructure analysis correct, besides the metal microscope with a very good image quality, a technical staff who can interpret the data obtained by the microscope is required. Our doctors and engineers specializing in heat treatment in our company analyze the obtained data in the best way and provide the best service to our customers in microstructure analysis.

Composition Analyses by Spectrometer

By using the spectrometer analyzer in our company, steel grades can be determined by way of determining the chemical composition of iron and steel materials. Especially for steels whose composition is not known, this test is applied before heat treatment to accurately determine the heat treatment method and its parameters.


Crack Analyses with Magnetic Particle

The cracks on the surface of the material can be controlled by means of the magnetic particle and crack test device in our company. The crack to be tested can be seen by visual inspection under UV light after the process of the device. Apart from this test, crack control by penetrant is also carried out in our company.
